James Joseph "Jim" Croce ( ; January 10, 1943 – September 20, 1973) was an Italian American singer-songwriter. Between 1960 and 1973, Croce released six studio albums and eleven singles single (music) . His singles "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and "Time in a Bottle" were both number one hits on the Billboard Billboard (magazine) Hot 100 Billboard Hot 100 charts.
