Gotthard

Gotthard is a Swiss^Switzerland hard rock band founded in Lugano by Steve Lee^{Steve Lee (Gotthard singer)} and Leo Leoni. They take their name from the Gotthard Pass. Their last eleven albums have all charted at number one, making them one of the most successful Swiss album chart acts ever.With 2 million albums sold, they managed to get multi-platinum awards in different parts of the world. They could arguably be called the most successful rock band in the nation; however, if international sales are considered, they are still trailing Krokus^{Krokus (band)}. .

Gotthard recently toured with Whitesnake and played at Arrow Rock Festival in Holland.

Gotthard also performed "Immigrant Song" (originally by Led Zeppelin) live and it featured exclusively on a CD by Classic Rock^{Classic Rock (magazine)} (a long running monthly UK rock magazine). "Hush^{Hush (Billy Joe Royal song)}" was also performed live and can be found on the Made In Switzerland album.

They have also covered songs from Bob Dylan, The Hollies, Manfred Mann and The Move.

In 2008, Gotthard was supporting act for one of their favourite bands Deep Purple, during Deep Purple's German Tour. They also played at the Magic Circle Music Festival^{Magic Circle Music} alongside bands such as Manowar, Alice Cooper, Doro^{Doro (musician)} and W.A.S.P.^{W.A.S.P. (band)} in Bad Arolsen, Germany.
